Q: I already have a domain and web site , how to transfer it to your server?
A: You should do it in 2 steps,
(1). signup and open an account with us and get a temporary domain like http://yourname.name2host.com. Upload your HTML files to our server and use the temporary domain to test the service.
(2). If you decide to transfer your web site to our server, just do the domain transfer using our "Member Login" interface.
(3). After you make the transfer request , our system will send an email to the owner or administrative contact of the domain for confirmation . If you are the owner , follow the instructions in the email to actually start the transfer.
Q: I do not have a domain name yet, how to register a new domain?
A: You should do it in 2 steps,
(1). Signup and open an account with us and get a temporary domain like http://yourname.name2host.com. Upload your HTML files to our server and use the temporary domain to test the service.
(2). Use our "Member Login" interface to register a new domain.
Q: I have just paid for my domain annual fee, but like your web hosting service, what should I do?
A: You should do it in 3 steps,
(1). Signup and open an account with us and get a temporary domain like http://yourname.name2host.com. Upload your HTML files to our server and use the temporary domain to test the service.
(2). If you decide to use our service, login from the "Member Login" area, then select "Keep domain with your current registrar and pay only for our web hosting service".
(3). Change the host or DNS server of your domain to use our DNS server:
Primary: ns1.name2host.com
Secondary: ns2.name2host.com
Q: How long does it take from the moment I signup to account opening?
A: It usually takes 24 hours.
Q: Do you support secure HTTP?
A: Not yet, we will do it later.
Q: Do you support SSI (Server Side Include)?
A: Yes.
Q: Do you support Telnet?
A: No. You can use FTP to upload/download files.
Q: Do you support ASP?
A: No. Our system is UNIX. |
