Q: When should I renew my accound/domain with name2host.com?
A: We will inform you through email when your account with name2host is close to its expiration day (about 30 days before expiration day). It is important to keep your "Contact Email" with name2host.com valid and active. You can also renew your account before this time, so that we never have to bother you regarding account renewal.
Q: How do I renew my account/domain?
A: Please use "Member Login" interface and select function "Account/Domain Renewal", and follow instructions.
Q: What happen to my domain if I failed to renew it on time?
A: We do not have auto-renewal service, since we do not keep our users' credit card information,
so please remember to renew your domain before its expiration date.
Here are some rules regarding expired domain:
(1). You as the domain owner can renew and get the domain back within 30 days after
a domain is expired;
(2). Then there is a "Redemption period" (about 45 days) when nobody can register this domain.
During this period, you as the original owner can still renew the expired domain by
paying a very high price ($100+$39);
(3). After about 75 days, the expired domain will be made available to general
public. However, there are many companies that try to grab this kind of expired
domains (please see snapname.com for example), and you may not be able to register
it back.
Q: Should I renew my account or my domain(s)? How they related?
A: If you registered your domain new at name2host.com, all you need to do is to renew your domain. When you renew your domain, you also have renewed your account with name2host.com.
If you transferred your domain to name2host.com from other registrar, your domain may carry some time (months or even years that you paid at other registrar). However, in order to get our packaged service (domain and hosting together), you still need to renew your account even if your domain is not close to the expiration date.
If you have more than one domain under one account, you need to renew each and every domain by repeating renewal operation.
